OceanLink Logistics is a Ningbo-based freight forwarder specialising in China–Europe and China–US sea and air freight. Their previous website was a single landing page in Chinese with no booking capability.
The Challenge
International shippers kept asking the same questions: “Where is my cargo?” and “How much does a 40HQ to Rotterdam cost?” Every answer went through email, which made the team slow and the customer experience inconsistent.
What We Built
- A bilingual (English/Chinese) corporate website with an instant freight quote form (origin, destination, cargo type, container size)
- Live shipment tracking: customers log in with their booking number and see status updates pulled in real time from the internal system via a custom REST API bridge
- Service pages for FCL, LCL, air freight and customs brokerage, written for overseas B2B buyers
- A staff knowledge base for rate cards, updated weekly by the operations team
Key Results
- Online quote requests doubled within four months
- Bounce rate fell by 31%
- 70% of routine “where is my cargo” questions are now self-served through tracking
The tracking page alone is worth the project — our customers finally feel in control.
